CHERYL TAYLOR
TITLE I LANGUAGE ARTS
ABOUT ME
I am a wife to Gary (34 years), a mother of three, Megan (Jeremiah), Jennifer (DeJon), & Zachary and the grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren, Leighana, Teagan, & Preston.
This will begin my 35th year of teaching. I attended Concordia College & BSU graduating with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading and Special Education. I later received my Masters in Education from Hamline University. I started in Wadena as an Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired. I later went on to teach at Eagle Valley, where I taught for 34 years. I am excited to be at Bertha-Hewitt teaching Title I Language Arts. I have loved reading ever since my third-grade teacher, Mrs. Ranstrom, handed me my first biography. I was hooked!
I also have spent many years coaching drama and speech. This year at Bertha-Hewitt we will be doing "The Game's Afoot" for our full-length play. It is a comedy "whodunit". We have a great cast and I am excited for them to showcase their talent. Drama & Speech were some of the best times I had in high school and college. I feel the best legacy to have is the chance to pay it forward.
